Meet our new fellowship-trained neurosurgeon, Dr. Timothy Lindley
Timothy E. Lindley, M.D., Ph. D., dual fellowship-trained neurosurgeon, has joined Heartland Orthopedic Specialists. He is currently seeing patients at the practice’s Alexandria location. Patients in need of specialized back, neck or spine care are encouraged to call (320) 762-1144 to schedule an appointment.
An Alexandria native, Dr. Lindley specializes in neurosurgery and the treatment and diagnosis of injuries and conditions of the back, neck and spine. His treatment approach focuses on minimizing risks and maximizing the likelihood of long-term improvement for all of his patients so they are able to return to their favorite activities.
"Being from Alexandria, I have always wanted to bring my practice back to my hometown. I am very excited to be at Heartland Orthopedic Specialists and treating the wonderful people of Alexandria and the surrounding communities,” says Dr. Lindley. “My patients and I form a team and work together to choose the right treatment plan for their individual needs.”
Dr. Lindley simultaneously earned a doctor of medicine degree and a doctor of philosophy degree in biochemistry and molecular biology while attending The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. After receiving these degrees, he completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Following his residency, he completed a neurosurgery clinical fellowship and an orthopedic spine fellowship, allowing him to specialize in treatment and care of the spine.
Dr. Lindley and his physician assistant, James Spaeth, join Dr. James Andrews, therapeutic neuromuscular care specialist, and the other back, neck and spine specialists to form the comprehensive Spine Center. To schedule an appointment with the Heartland Orthopedic Specialists Spine Team, please call (320) 762-1144.
