Heartland Orthopedic Specialists Providers Published in Sports Medicine Textbook

Several Heartland Orthopedic Specialists providers have co-authored a chapter in a newly published sports medicine textbook. The chapter, titled “The Future of Orthopedic Sports Medicine” in the textbook Sports Injuries, covers the latest developments in sports medicine and reflects our team's dedication to staying ahead in the field.

Dr. Emily Monroe, athletic trainer Rich Hardy, and retired surgeon Dr. Jefferson Brand all co-authored the chapter in addition to an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Havard Medical School.

The providers explored important areas, like artificial intelligence, machine learning, patient outcomes, mental health, robotics, advanced imaging, biologics, and genomics. Their work will help advance the field of sports medicine and supports our commitment to bringing the best and most innovative care to our patients.
