Heartland Orthopedic Specialists Hosting 12th Annual Ortho Night Out May 22

Heartland Orthopedic Specialists will host their 12th annual Ortho Night Out on May 22. The free community event will be held at the Broadway Ballroom at 115 30th Ave. E. in Alexandria. Three board-certified doctors from the practice will be speaking on joint pain and the latest advancements in surgical and nonsurgical treatments. Attendees who join Heartland Orthopedic Specialists’ orthopedic experts will learn about the latest advancements in orthopedics, including the Mako robotic-arm system. They will also receive information on how they can improve their quality of life. The topics for the event are scheduled as follows:

  • Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Aaron Balgaard will speak on Mako robotic-arm assisted joint replacement.
  • Fellowship-trained nonsurgical sports medicine specialist Dr. Jonathan Harvey will speak on osteoarthritis and nonoperative treatment options.
  • Fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon Dr. Emily Monroe will speak on the rotator cuff, its conditions and the treatments available.
